Job Title: Paralegal

Location: Remote

Contract Position (6-12 months)

Salary: $30-35/hour


Job Description:

My client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Paralegal with expertise in Employment Law and litigation experience to join their legal team on a contract basis. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in handling employment law cases and will provide comprehensive legal support to their team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Case Management: Oversee and manage employment law cases from inception to resolution, ensuring all deadlines and legal requirements are met.
  • Litigation Support: Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation, including discovery, document review, deposition preparation, and trial support.
  • Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research on employment law issues, regulations, and case precedents to support ongoing cases and legal strategies.
  • Document Preparation: Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and correspondence.
  • Compliance: Ensure all employment law practices and procedures comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Client Communication: Serve as a point of contact for clients, providing updates and gathering necessary information for cases.
  • Administrative Support: Perform administrative tasks such as maintaining case files, scheduling meetings, and organizing legal documents.


Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field.
  • Paralegal certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on employment law and litigation.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
  • Experience with remote work and virtual collaboration tools.
