This position is available in various locations including Albany, NY; Boston, MA; Buffalo, NY; Chicago, IL; Jericho, NY; Los Angeles, CA; Manchester, NH; New York, NY; Providence, RI; Rochester, NY; San Francisco, CA; Washington, DC; and can also be fully remote.

Compensation: The anticipated annual salary ranges based on the location are as follows:

• Providence, RI: $200,000 to $220,000
• Los Angeles, CA: $325,000 to $350,000
• San Francisco, CA: $325,000 to $350,000
• Albany, NY: $200,000 to $220,000
• Long Island, NY: $240,000 to $265,000
• New York, NY: $325,000 to $350,000
• Rochester, NY: $200,000 to $220,000
  
  

In addition to a standard benefits package, this role may be eligible for additional contingent compensation based on performance, geographic location, work experience, education, and other qualifications.

Job Requirements

• Experience: Candidates must have six to eight years of patent litigation experience, including drafting and responding to pleadings, preparing infringement and invalidity claim charts, and managing Markman and claim construction proceedings. Significant experience with patent-specific fact and expert discovery, inter partes reviews, and overall litigation strategy is required. Patent trial experience is a plus.
• Qualifications: USPTO admission is highly preferred. An undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is ideal, or candidates should have substantial experience in these or related fields.
• Responsibilities: Direct responsibilities include drafting legal documents for state and federal court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings; managing complex discovery requests; engaging with opposing counsel; preparing for and conducting depositions; trial preparation; preparing Federal Circuit appeal briefs; and supervising and training junior associates.
