Compensation

• Chicago, IL:
• Associate: $300,000 - $350,000
• Department Attorney: $180,000
• San Francisco, CA:
• Associate: $300,000 - $350,000
• Department Attorney: $180,000
  

In addition to a competitive benefits package, this role may be eligible for additional contingent compensation based on performance, geographic location, experience, education, and other factors. The listed salary ranges represent Nixon Peabody’s estimate of what it expects to pay, depending on the role and location.

Job Requirements

• Experience: The ideal candidate will have five to eight years of patent prosecution experience, with a proven track record in drafting patent applications and prosecuting them before the USPTO.
• Education: An undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field is required, along with USPTO admission.
• Skills: Candidates should possess strong academic credentials, excellent judgment, and superb communication skills.
