Job Summary:

A Payments Practice lead is a leadership role, typically overseeing the strategic direction, operations, and growth of the payments practice. This role involves a combination of leadership, business development, and expertise in payment technologies and methodologies.


The Payments Practice lead is responsible for leading and managing the organization's payments practice, ensuring the development and implementation of effective strategies, processes, and solutions. This role involves overseeing teams, driving business growth, and maintaining a deep understanding of the payments landscape.


Responsibilities:


Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute the strategic vision for the payments practice in alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to teams responsible for payment solutions, ensuring innovation and competitiveness.


Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue business opportunities in the payments sector, including partnerships, alliances.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to drive revenue growth and market share.


Team Management:

  • Lead and inspire a cross-functional team of payment professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members.


Client Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their payment needs and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering insights and guidance on emerging payment trends.


Technology and Innovation:

  • Stay abreast of advancements in payment technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
  • Drive the adoption of innovative payment solutions and technologies within the organization.
  • Publish whitepapers and thought leadership articles at an individual capacity, and also guide others in the group to participate.


Risk Management and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant payment regulations and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to safeguard payment processes and transactions.


Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage budgets for the payments practice, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.
  • Monitor financial performance and implement measures for continuous improvement.


Collaboration with Stakeholders:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including technology, finance, and legal teams, to ensure seamless integration of payment solutions.


You Are:


  • Extensive experience in payments, with a track record of successful leadership in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of payment systems, technologies, and industry trends.
  • Vast experience in payments industry with knowledge in SWIFT payments, Real-time Payments, ISO 20022, Digital payments, Open Banking, and other cutting-edge technologies
  • Proven ability to develop and implement successful business strategies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.



It would be great if you also had

  • Industry certifications related to payments and financial services.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies such as blockchain, digital wallets, and real-time payments.
