Photo/Styling Assistant

Calling all photography assistants! Our retail client is looking to build a pipeline of photo and styling assistants!

These are an onsite freelance roles that will either be in studio or on location depending on the shoot. Once you are on their roster, there are plenty of opportunities for call backs.

The photography assistant will be responsible for:

• Working with photographer on all facets of home decor set
• Setting up lighting equipment with guidance of photographer
• Learning and applying proper naming conventions for archiving digital assets
• Building sets, painting, making sure sets are ready for next shoot
• Understanding and referencing style guides, to match style and quality to existing shots that are on brand
• Representing the studio in a professional manner at all times, collaborating and communicating with teams from Merchandise, Digital, Creative, Finance and planning.
• Maintaining photo equipment to ensure longevity and cost effective use of rental equipment, supplies, and consumables
  
  

The ideal candidate must have:

• At least 1 year of experience as a photo assistant in commercial studio
• 3-5 years of experience in photography industry
• Understanding of different types of lighting set ups
• Proficiency in digital imaging
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Canon 5D, Profoto, Capture One and MAC
• Ability to be on feet for long periods of time
