Carnegie is seeking a highly skilled Photo + Video Producer to join our team as a contractor, with the potential for full-time work. As the Producer, you will help coordinate and plan both photo + video shoots from inception to post-production. Playing a vital role in translating our client's brands into compelling multimedia content that effectively communicates their messages.


We are seeking an experienced individual who excels in project management, demonstrating the ability to take ownership and successfully drive projects to completion through organized planning, task management, and client collaboration. With a background in commercial shoots, documentary-style storytelling, and marketing content, you will utilize your expertise to help oversee pre-production, production, and post-production. You will work closely with the Multimedia Production Manager, Art Director, and Creative Director, providing support and direction to photographers, cinematographers, editors, writers, and other team members.


Your role will involve planning photo shoots and video shoots, and client trainings. A deep understanding of branding and its connection to photography and videography is essential for this position.

This is a remote position and requires travel.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Project Management

  • Coordinates client photo/video projects from kickoff to completion
  • Manages client expectations during the planning of photo/video shoots
  • Prepares project teams and clients for upcoming shoots by leading and co-leading internal project team meetings, client prep meetings, and some client meetings, while communicating via email with clients as well as Asana/Slack with internal team members
  • Works with the Multimedia Production Manager and internal team members to ensure that the project team meets deadlines on time while meeting the defined strategy and goals of their clients
  • Anticipate project risks and roadblocks while working to resolve them before they negatively impact projects
  • Oversees production logistics from start to finish, in close collaboration with the art director and client, including scheduling day-to-day production on the ground as needed and developing custom call sheets and other resources for the client
  • Works with clients and production teams to ensure efficient and successful photo and video shoots when on the ground

Task and Asset Management

  • Masters the use of Asana, effectively and autonomously assigns out tasks to the proper team members, and helps manage the workflow of those cards and overall client boards to ensure client deadlines and turnaround times are met
  • Supports the Multimedia Production Manager and Creative Director with operational tasks, client work, scheduling meetings, and various project-related initiatives
  • Ensures internal teams have all the assets and information they need to do their work successfully

Production

  • Coordinates production team travel and day-to-day logistics
  • Helps source equipment and props as needed
  • Holds crew and talent accountable to their call times
  • Transports crew on-set and organizes meals as needed
  • Serves as the main point of contact for the clients producers and their team members


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent organizational and highly developed collaboration, problem-solving, and project management skills to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with an extensive client portfolio
  • Resilience in working across several projects simultaneously and balancing a high-volume workload.
  • Public speaking skills for high levels of client interaction and the ability to listen carefully and navigate organizational politics
  • Thorough knowledge of creative tools, including Adobe, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Office, and Miro
  • Effective communication and time management skills for a remote work environment as well as the ability to use/learn multiple technology platforms and switch between them regularly
  • Must be able to work at a computer for prolonged periods
  • Ability to travel regularly for two-to-five-night client trips


Credentials and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3–5 years of project management, creative development, marketing, or production experience
  • Interest or education in art, marketing and communications, multimedia, project management, and/or creative production
  • Seniority level
