Production Department Manager

We are laser-based training device manufacturer in need of a full-time, on-site Production Manager. Major Responsibilities include Planning and Scheduling, Production Control and Monitoring Inventory as well as Quality Assurance Control. Must be able to manage all production personnel, maintain and improves quality standards, resolve technical related issues and improve manufacturing procedures.

Daily duties & Responsibilities:

• Oversee and run a crew of 2-3 Techs.
• QC assembled product and oversee established QC protocols for techs.
• Inventory planning and managing - maintain inventory levels always needed, make sure all items are in stock and assembled for shipping.
• Create purchase orders and oversee the process from order to product received.
• Receiving incoming shipments, inspecting parts received, enter QTY in QB.
• Once a product is received, assemble product parts to completed product, from Pre-production to retail ready packaging.
• Work with shipping department to complete and ship orders: receive printed orders and fulfil in timely manner.
• Inspect product / customer packed orders before shipping.

Qualifications:

• 5 years or more of management of production employees.
• Ability to read and understand specification sheets.
•  Able to use hand tools and work with small parts like O-rings, set screws etc. Measure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.
• Knowledge of complex, tight tolerance parts, and various materials.
• Proficient on QuickBooks
• Proficient in Windows-based computers and basic Office programs.
• Ability to work 9a-5:30p / M-F.
• No felony or domestic violence convictions, no pending protective orders.
• U.S. citizen.
• Must have knowledge in repairing and trouble shooting product of all types.
• You must be able to occasionally lift heavy items when we get deliveries.
• Detail oriented, organized, and flexible.
• Maintain clean and neat work environment.
