Schedule: Night Shift (Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday, 6pm-6am), but must be willing to work any shift
Position Summary
Production Operators perform production tasks to support the needs of the Production Department. This includes operating, monitoring, and maintaining the production equipment to ensure the highest quality and productivity at all times.
Extruder: Specific duties of the Extruder Production Operator are to operate, monitor, and maintain the mixer(s), extruder(s), and extractor(s) for their assigned production cell to ensure the highest quality, and productivity at all times.
Winder: Specific duties of the Winder Production Operator are to operate, monitor, and maintain the oven exit, fife guides, slitter system, defect detection system, and the winder mandrels for their assigned production cell. Also responsible for packaging the final product properly as instructed in the product specification sheet, and transporting the product to the packaging line.
In this position, you must be willing to wear a half-face respirator as needed. Facial hair will need to be shaved every day you report to work.
Conduct physical testing of product; in process and finish goods
Adherence with all safety policies, procedures and programs
Ensures workplace is clean and orderly
Follow Standard work
Follow customer specification sheet
Update GEMS (Computer) database and Complete production logs accurately and completely
Using GEMS SPC data, perform required process adjustments as needed to maintain process efficiency
Monitor and operate continual production line to ensure achievement of performance, quality, and safety objectives
Hold self and peers accountable
Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
Utilize Continuous Improvement tools such as Lean, Kaizen, 5S, RIE’s and other work area standards.
Represent ENTEK with the highest standard of professional conduct when interacting with employees and community
You must be willing to work any shift which may include nights and weekends.
