Production Supervisor (2nd shift)

Responsibilities:

· Production Management: Oversee all aspects of the value-added production room, including the research and development of new products.

· Inventory Control: Maintain optimal levels of raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and finished goods. Conduct weekly checks on finished goods inventory.

· Sanitation Standards: Ensure compliance with sanitation standards in an allergen-sensitive area.

· Scheduling and Delivery: Monitor production progress against deadlines to ensure on-time delivery. Communicate changes to delivery schedules with relevant personnel.

· Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all equipment and facilities in the value-added room are maintained and coordinate necessary repairs with the Maintenance department.

· Training and Development: Train employees on the proper use of packaging machines and promote best practices. Identify and address individual training needs.

· Operational Excellence: Strive for high productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness. Minimize waste and maximize value.

· Staff Management: Manage staff discipline or grievance issues, maintaining records as per company procedures. Adapt to meet current business requirements.

· Weekly Planning: Create a weekly planner to keep production updated and reduce overtime.

· Other Duties: Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.


Qualifications:

· Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of production processes, sanitation, and hygiene procedures. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

· Industry Knowledge: Experience with seafood processing, including knowledge of HACCP, FDA, USDC, and SQF standards would be a huge plus.

· Communication: Bilingual in English and Spanish. Strong ability to instruct and teach employees.

· Problem Solving: Proficient in problem-solving and troubleshooting.

· Physical Requirements: Ability to lift/move materials frequently, stand or sit, bend, and reach regularly. Manual dexterity and strength to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 50 pounds.

· Training: Completion of all general safety, sanitation, hygiene, and OSHA required training.

· Personal Protective Equipment: Use of eye safety glasses, gloves, boots, hair net, and frock is required.
