Program Manager, MD/PHD - The Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent, with 5 years of experience in program management.

Job Summary:

The Program Manager is accountable for the personnel, operational and financial management of assigned program(s) to ensure the delivery of competent, compassionate and efficient clinical care, promotion of research and clinical education.

Department Marketing Statement:

Looking for a driven Program Manager to manage day-to day operations for the MD-PhD Combined Degree Program and provide strategic support to advance the development of the program.

Job Duties:

  • Manages all administrative activities relating to program operations, including but not limited to new hire appointments/onboarding, timekeeping, program reporting, departmental transactions, curriculum management, compliance training, and other duties as necessary
  • Assist the Director in managing student progress through the program and addressing student needs and concerns
  • Collaborate with other departments on campus to facilitate cooperation and communication
  • Manage MD-PhD program recruitment and admissions
  • Coordinate with MD-PhD course director(s) to manage program courses
  • Manage confidential student records and adhere to record retention policies
  • Maintain the program website and manage marketing efforts
  • Coordinate student endowment placements and support reporting on endowments assignments and expenditures to the Development Office
  • Assist the Director in the facilitation of development goals, performance standards and objectives of the program
  • Support the efforts and provide coordination support for the MD-PhD Committee
  • Maintain a handbook of operational procedures
  • Monitor workflow for continual process improvement of the program
  • Provides leadership for the program and promotes teamwork.
  • Initiates implementation plans for new projects and services within the program.
  • Maintain program data and generate regular reports for leadership
  • Support coordination of the Summer Research Program and the National Student Research Forum
  • Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in an academic Health Science Center.

Salary Range:

Commensurate with experience.
