In the Project Engineer role, you will be working to ensure that the work complies with all engineering standards, codes, specifications, and design instruction; trouble-shoots engineering related installation problems. Provides solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, and practical.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management: Lead and manage electrical construction projects alongside the Project Leader, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Design and Development: Develop detailed electrical designs, schematics, and layouts using CAD software and oversee their implementation on construction sites.
Compliance and Standards: Ensure all electrical designs and installations comply with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, architects, contractors, and construction crews, to ensure project success.
Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies during the project lifecycle, particularly those that arise during the construction phase.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including specifications, reports, and test results.
Testing and Commissioning: Oversee the testing and commissioning of electrical systems to ensure they meet performance and safety standards.
Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and addressing any concerns or requirements. Participates in KPR (Key Project Review).
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Experience: 3-7 years of experience in electrical engineering, construction project management, or a related field.
Technical Skills: Proficient in CAD software, electrical design tools, project management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, construction methods, and industry standards.
Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on time and within budget.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate and manage project teams.
Certification: Professional Engineer (PE) license or working towards obtaining it is a plus.
