The company supplies platform controls, aircraft components, liquid oxygen equipment, and emergency breathing equipment to its customers.

Summary Of Job

Under supervision of the Quality Lead or Quality Engineer/Supervisor, this position involves understanding, interpreting, and verifying symbols, tolerances and specifications on blueprint and test procedures using various tools, gauges and equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform inspection work: Visual and Dimensional.
  • Test parts and record data per Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP).
  • Visual Solder inspection and wiring review.
  • Verify correct specifications requirements have been met.
  • Perform and document Return Evaluations.
  • Analyze Returns for failure cause.
  • Coordinate with Returns Team to process product.
  • Interact with customers.
  • Record discrepancies and separate good from defective parts, enter inspection results in database.
  • Knowledge of First Article Inspection process.
  • Knowledge of GD&T.
  • Assist in other areas, or tasks, to meet production needs.
  • Work in a self-directed work force environment.
  • Ability to make decision making and show initiative.

Requirements

High school and 1-3 years of experience working on the job; or equivalent of the two.

Work Schedule: Essex Industries will be moving to a pilot summer work schedule effective, June 3, 2024- August 30, 2024. Work hours will be Monday- Thursday, 10 hours per day with Friday off or reserved for any overtime if required. Example hours will be 6AM-4:30PM CST - Monday to Thursday, Friday- Off.
