Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Quality Specialist opportunity with our client in Kent, WA.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide training and/or assistance to other team members in the use of quality acceptance processes, procedures, and/or tools.
Serve as a 2nd set of eyes when performing inspections of internal flight hardware.
Support the review and inspection of supplier related hardware as needed.
Document First Article Inspection Reports for internally produced hardware.
Monitor SPC activities as necessary.
Conduct process health assessments and internal audits for compliance with industry standards and provide ongoing objective evaluations of processes and documentation.
Conduct follow-up and compliance audits to ensure process improvement and corrective/preventive action implementation and effectiveness.
Job Qualifications:
2+ years’ of quality inspection experience in a rocket engine production environment.
Relevant experience in a start-up environment, transitioning a product from development, through production to operations.
Relevant experience in AS9145, Advanced Product Quality Planning and Production Part Approval Process.
Aerospace, space launch, military or commercial aviation preferred - Internal auditing experience - Knowledge of aerospace / aviation / engine manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of NDE and receiving inspection methodologies - Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9000 Quality Management System and/or related quality systems and programs.
Desired Job Qualifications:
3+ years’ of manufacturing and/or integration experience in an aviation/aerospace manufacturing environment.
Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
