Develops and implements a quality production program to ensure conformity of produced materials and final products to meet customer specifications and enhance superior quality and reliability standards.
Responsibilities
Make an annual plan and implementation.
Establish procedures for maintaining high standards of quality, reliability and safety.
Determine and enforce safety requirements.
Organize company wide quality improvement efforts.
Evaluate and develop improved techniques for the control of quality, reliability and safety.
Implement and maintain company quality system.
Report quality system performance.
Act as a liaison with external parties with matters relating to quality system.
Direct staffing, training and performance evaluations and resolve departmental issues.
In-process quality
Determine sorting methods (rework and scrap) when nonconforming parts are found in-house
Conduct monthly quality meeting
Prepare necessary report and documentation
Monitor in-house and external QPRs
Ensure compliance of non-conforming issues with customer and related expense
Train employees from each department on corrective actions
Report corrective action to customer
Train associates on customer quality requirements
Analyze QPRs throughout the year and set target for next year
Manage PPAP (Production Parts Approval Process) before mass production of parts
Determine quality standards, inspection standards and check fixtures to ensure they meet customer requirements
Manage ISO 9000 program
Plan internal audit and review materials for the external audit
Determine criteria for good and bad parts
Make final decision to determine whether parts are good or bad
Other duties as directed
Education Requirements: Bachelor Degree
Technical Skills Requirements
5 – 10 years broad experience ( at least 2 – 3 years in quality administration and / or quality engineering )
3 – 5 years managing technical personnel and complex activities ( min 2 years in quality management )

Additional class work in management type courses and problem-solving techniques.
