Working under the supervision of a Principal Investigator and following established policies and procedures. Will be responsible for managing the mouse and rat colony along with performing established animal behavior tests.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
Manages rat and mouse colony as per guidelines and protocols.
Maintains inventory of animals and orders animals when necessary.
Maintains all study regulatory documents.
All research administrative tasks.
All other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
BS or BA
New graduate with relevant course or project work. Candidates enrolled into BS or BA programs are welcome to apply
Skills/Abilities/Competencies Required
Excellent interpersonal skills are required.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of animal research protocols and IACUC guidelines.
Extensive experience working with mice and rats.
Knowledge of computer programs, databases, etc.
Able to work independently.
Ability to solve problems quickly and accurately.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and delegate a variety of tasks.
Careful attention to detail.
Ability to demonstrate professionalism.
