ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE

This is an outdoor light up forest trail giving guests a chance to walk into the depths of a dark forest and discover iconic moments from a cherished media brand illuminated like never before. The experience includes beautiful photo ops, themed food & drink, and a chance to stop by the market to browse merchandise.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Retail Associate role will assist the Retail Supervisor in their duties and responsibilities in managing all retail related aspects of the event, always ensuring world class delivery and exceptional customer service.

Based in Leesburg, the Retail Associate will report directly to the Retail Supervisor and the Global Retail Lead. Working as part of a team of 8-10 each night working in two covered sale locations, the Assistant Retail Manager will join in local decisions in regard to retail and must be able to follow procedures set out by the Global Team and Production Partners.

LOCATION

  • Pre-Production / Load In Phase - Remote/on-site training, and beginning full time on site work around October 7, 2024 (approximately 3 weeks before the opening of the event). The event will open on October 26, 2024 and run through mid-February 2025.
  • Operational Phase – Working onsite approximately 6 days per week and hours are typically 4:00-11:30pm.

REMUNERATION

$20-25 per hour

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Retail Manager in all aspects of retail operations for these stores - including inventory management, scheduling, staffing, cleanliness, preparations, and more
  • After the first week, alternate work schedules with the Retail Manager each week with the goal of having each person working 4 days each week with one day of overlap.
  • Work with the team during the initial inventory and unboxing of all merchandise.
  • Assist with the organization, planning and operations of the retail set-up and teardown
  • Help with scheduling and training of all retail staff
  • Learn and help manage the POS systems located at each point of sale
  • Monitor all cash/card transactions
  • Maintain and encourage staff performance and growth over the course of the experience
  • Resolve customer complaints, concerns and general needs
  • Willingness to delegate and execute all other related duties
  • Address and communicate all staff related issues to on site managers and local labor provider
  • Crew welfare- ensure shift patterns are running smoothly & breaks are implemented.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have experience in using Google Drive and the Google suite of applications including Sheets, Word, Google Meetings.
  • 3+ years previous experience in retail management or supervisory experience
  • Understands the necessity of keeping guests engaged in a fully immersive, in-world experience
  • Passionate about creating a unique and exceptional customer experience
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to work cross functionally with all levels and teams
  • Solutions-oriented
  • Must have a positive, outgoing, energetic demeanor and able to maintain a good attitude
  • Ability to deal with stressful situations in a calm and professional manner.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays if needed
  • Preferably ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted; and bend, twist, and kneel with ease
  • Current First-Aid certification is a plus.
