The Security Specialist will work closely with management to drive and develop a strong safety culture and assist in developing and implementing all security programs/ protocols that reduce or eliminate potential safety risks and environmental issues. The Security Specialist will provide protection of premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment in real and recorded time, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points, and permitting entry. Additionally, the Security Specialist will facilitate loss prevention activities to ensure the stability and safety of the product while on-premises, as well as screen all vendors, visitors, and employees to ensure the safety of the property in a friendly and professional manner.
Requirements
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides overall protection of company assets and personnel
Conduct periodic patrols of O’Neill property in its entirety
Monitor CCTV cameras in real-time and conduct video footage reviews upon request
Assist with disturbances property-wide, including escort on/off property utilizing de-escalation practices
Investigate accidents and incidents, identify causes, and make suggestions to prevent a recurrence
Assist with health and safety practices - establishing and enforcing related policies
Build trust with employees to encourage their partnerships in reporting any unsafe conditions and/or behaviors immediately
Keep apprised of developments in federal and state safety and environmental regulations
Conduct inspections as instructed
Ability to accurately write incident/accident reports and record-keeping in a timely manner
Involve management and local first responder agencies as needed within a timely manner
Special projects and other duties as assigned
Maintains a safe and secure environment for customers, vendors, and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel
Qualifications

Associates degree (A.A.), two to four years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Previous or current law enforcement or security background
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and Excel software
Strong interpersonal skills- professional, friendly, and approachable
Attention to detail
Sense of urgency with composure and calm direction
Ability to communicate and interact with varying departments and employees across the organization
Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities
Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
Bilingual, a plus

Work is normally performed outdoors and in an office environment
Noise levels are typically moderate, with the potential to be moderate to high at times
During working hours, will be exposed to all weather conditions: hot, cold, wet, and dry
Proper footwear will be required as surfaces may be wet and slippery
