GWBI is looking for a Service Manager to manage our Service Technician Department in which the responsibilities include properly plan, staff, and execute all field service and installation needs, provide the highest level of customer service, assist in the field as needed, develop lasting customer relationships, and manage the service team members.
The Service Manager maintains a strong working knowledge of all industry standards and practices as well as the company's products and services.
Service Manager Job Duties:
Delegating and directing service tasks, monitoring the progress of current projects, and managing service team members to ensure the team's objectives.
Handling customer complaints or concerns quickly and professionally to maintain good customer relationships and ensure repeat customers.
Communicate complex technical issues with customers throughout the course of service projects as well as help troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues over the phone with service technicians at customer sites.
Maintaining strong relationships with manufacturers, dealers, and sales representatives.
Assisting Sales with quotations and reviewing job specifications for quoting specifications. Assist Sales with managing and updating invoices, reviewing job specifications, and manage / assisting with jobs in the field.
Monitoring department issues and client complaints to create methods to lessen recurring issues.
Maintaining a strong working knowledge of industry regulations, restrictions, and laws, ensuring the company's adherence to these regulations, and remaining current on the industry's standards and new innovations, materials, tools, and processes.
Auditing work and customer service to ensure the company's high standards, efficiency, and productivity goals are met.
Document and review service technicians’ performances on an annual basis.
Helping to train new employees in company procedures.
Provide employee coaching when needed as well as participate in the technician recruiting process by screening and interviewing potential service technician candidates.
Requirements:
Aptitude for both electrical and mechanical environments as well as familiarity with mechanical and electrical equipment
Strong industry knowledge.
Professional and effective communication skills (verbal and written)
Proven ability to meet deadlines, multi-task, and problem solve
Willing and able to travel around the state and out-of-town as required
Willing and able to work indoors/outdoors in extreme heat/cold and at heights for extended periods of time
Excellent leadership, self-motivations, excellent communication, sales, and customer service skills.
Computer literacy and good organizational skills.
Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
The ability to work under pressure and handle stress.
Crane maintenance experience a plus.
OSHA 10 is required.
OSHA 30 is preferred.

Experience: 8 years of experience in crane service industry in either management and / or engineering (or combination of crane service experience as well as management experience)
