Responsibilities
Intensive Outpatient(PHP) Therapist - Fulltime
Aiken Regional Medical Centers, located in Aiken, South Carolina, is a 273-bed acute care facility providing quality healthcare to the residents of Aiken and surrounding communities. Aiken Regional Medical Centers has been ranked a top hospital in South Carolina by the Carolina Center for Medical Excellence for its treatment of heart attack, heart failure and pneumonia. Services provided at the hospital include emergency medical care, orthopedic surgeries, maternity, and behavioral health services.

Intensive Outpatient(PHP) Therapist performs psychotherapy functions, to include assessments, group therapy, family therapy, treatment planning, and coordination with referral services. Develop therapy programs to service patients as appropriate.
Duties
Performs psychosocial assessments.
Performs group therapy.
Performs family therapy.
Performs individual therapy.
Develops therapy programs as appropriate.
Communicates with the Utilization Review coordinator regarding treatment progress and prognosis
Tracks daily attendance, admissions and discharges of PHP patients.
Participates in the development of treatment plans.
Reviews and updates treatment plans as needed.
Communicates with referral sources to ensure satisfaction and coordination of care.
Interacts with community agencies to establish mental health network.
Charts every session.
Participates in program development meetings.
Communicates and coordinates services with supervisor.
Assists the Assessment and UR department as needed and able (e.g. answering RESPOND calls).
Communicates with the Director of Business Development regarding referral source/EAP needs and follow-up. May periodically visit referral sources with the DBD.
Provides a discharge summary to include treatment provided while in PHP, response to treatment provided and prognosis, and future treatment recommendations.

Requirements:
Education requirements: Master’s degree in Human Services field AND having full SC licensure for that field.
Work experience requirements: Minimum three years experience in mental health setting recommended.
