As a Spa Supervisor at Edgewood Tahoe, you assist the Spa Director & Assistant Spa Manager in overseeing all functions of the Spa to ensure a world-class service to all guests. You greet, schedule, and provide knowledgeable Spa product information while on-boarding and providing on-going training to the Spa team. Essential Functions:
- Apply broad knowledge of spa concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Understand, execute, train, and lead Team to achieve Forbes service and facility standards.
- Ability to understand and train upon Forbes standards executing anticipatory service and personalizing service with every guest.
- Assist with initial and ongoing training to grow and enhance the spa team.
- Ability to multitask and efficiently maintain the cleanliness, safety, and organization of spa.
- Maintain confidential information regarding guests and Team Members.
- Proactively offer guidance, coaching, and performance feedback for Team Members.
- Demonstrate ability to resolve guest concerns and ensure the guest is satisfied.
- Ability to address inappropriate guest behavior as per the hotels standard operating procedures for inappropriate conduct for guests.
- You will be the Spa Group Coordinator, acting as the main point of contact for all corporate groups assisting them with organizing and scheduling groups of all size.
- Assist and maintain organization of inventory system.
- Assist with scheduling needs of the spa operation managing labor based on business demand.
- Assist with payroll functions such as approving hours and reviewing commissions.
- Observe the skill and performance level of all Team Members while communication with Spa Manager.
- Accommodate the needs of all aspects of the operation; assist with Spa Receptionist and Spa Attendant duties, such as answering the phone, scheduling, service and retail sales, cleaning and sanitizing the facility, and participating in opening/closing duties when necessary. Complete several walk throughs daily to ensure team is on-task.
- Provide leadership by leading by example and maintaining positive, professional, and responsible behavior amongst the spa team.
- Assist in facilitating solution-oriented discussions and fielding spa team’s concerns and suggestions.
- Will attend one-on-one meetings with Spa Director.
- Maintain accurate and up to date menu knowledge and retail product knowledge.
- Be an independent worker, you must possess the ability to find projects to work on and implement change to processes and procedures as needed.
- Maintain and create Standard Operating Procedures as needed.
- Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
- Proven experience in a luxury spa environment is advantageous.
- Two years or more experience preferred in hospitality.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Commitment to delivering a high level of guest service and ability to lead team to exhibit this same value.
- Proficiency in English.
- Strong computer, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Experience with lodging management systems and spa booking programs.
- Available to work varied shifts when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
