Staff Accountant

Position Overview

B&T USA is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Team. The right candidate will thrive in a fast-paced work environment and will be responsible for providing accounting support to the CFO, to include recording daily and monthly transactional activity while adhering to GAAP and B&T accounting policies that includes report preparation, research, and reporting related to, but not limited to, general ledger activities, month-end closing activities, reconciliation of accounts as directed, financial-related reports, schedules, and audits.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly quarterly and annual general ledger account reconciliations for all types of accounts, including accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets to ensure accurate reporting and general ledger reliability.
• Prepare monthly journal entries.
• Assist in the design and preparation of budgets for review by management.
• Prepare commission reports.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
• Assist in preparation of filing monthly and quarterly state sales taxes.
• Prepare annual tangible personal property tax returns.
• Maintain and reconcile fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
• Assist with financial statement preparation for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
• Assist with the annual external audit.
• Assess internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas.
• Work with Accounts Payables and receivables, as needed, to resolve issues.
• Special projects as assigned by the CFO.
  
  
  

Required Education/Experience/Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• 2 or more years of general ledger accounting experience required.
• Knowledge of US GAAP required.
• Knowledge of Fishbowl ERP inventory software preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Confident working independently using initiatives to guide through challenges.
• Knowledge of Manufacturing Industry preferred.
• Must meet ATF requirements for firearm possession.

• Work performed primarily in an office environment.
