About the Company: We are currently partnered with a national food manufacturer to find a Vice President of Manufacturing who will oversee all food manufacturing operations across multiple sites. This leadership role is crucial in driving operational excellence, ensuring quality and safety standards, and optimizing production efficiency.
About the Role:
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and execute manufacturing strategies aligned with company goals and objectives.
Drive initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve overall operational efficiency.
Lead cross-functional teams to integrate manufacturing processes with business strategies.
Operational Excellence:
Oversee all aspects of manufacturing operations including production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and food safety standards (FDA, USDA, etc.).
Implement best practices for quality assurance and control throughout the manufacturing process.
Team Management:
Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing manufacturing team.
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Set clear goals and performance metrics for the manufacturing team and monitor progress regularly.
Technology and Innovation:
Evaluate and implement advanced manufacturing technologies to enhance efficiency and quality.
Drive initiatives for automation and digital transformation in manufacturing processes.
Stay updated with industry trends and developments to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree (MBA, MS) preferred.
Proven experience (10+ years) in a senior manufacturing leadership role within the food industry.
In-depth knowledge of food manufacturing processes, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
