Video Specialist – Investment Management – Boston, MA

We are seeking candidates for a Video Specialist position with a top-tier investment management firm located in Boston, MA. The Video Specialist will be responsible for editing external and internal videos for the company’s website, social media, and intranet. The position with work closely with the Head of Post Production and Video Producers. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of editing experience.

This is a 6+ month contract position that will pay $30-37/hr (depending on experience) within a 40-hour workweek. This position is required to be onsite 2-3 days/wk in the Boston office.

Responsibilities:

  • Support video team in establishing the desired look and feel for the video to be created
  • Operate computer editing systems and equipment used for video/audio media and motion graphics, emphasis on Premiere Pro and After-Effects
  • Collect, organize and backup all forms of media onto storage drives
  • Improve video (color correction, Lumetri, Red Giant) and sound quality (Adobe Audition)
  • Ensure the correct formatting (aspect ratio, file size, etc.) and presentation for finalized videos according to client’s specifications
  • Experience in videography/grip work to contribute to the on-set video productions, aiding in the lighting, running of cables, and recording our on-camera talent.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Media Production, Film Production or related degree is REQUIRED
  • 0-2+ video editing experience required (2+ years preferred)
  • Experience in videography/grip work for on-set productions
  • Proficiency with Adobe Suite (Premier Pro, After Effects, Audition)
  • Communication and organization skills
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment, handling multiple projects at various stages simultaneously
  • Ability to adapt, troubleshoot, and solve problems
  • Passion for digital media and creative content development
