Your role within the team

H&H Group’s brands Zesty Paws and Solid Gold are Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) brands with a strong presence in the pet category. Over the years, we have successfully expanded our footprint through Amazon and various e-retail platforms. As we continue to evolve in the digital age, we are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Vice President of Digital Business to lead our efforts in enhancing our Amazon presence, e-retail partnerships, and Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) initiatives.

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic VP of Digital Business to lead and shape our digital commerce strategy. This role will be pivotal in driving our digital growth, expanding our presence on Amazon, optimizing our e-retail relationships, and developing a robust DTC channel. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive digital business strategy, collaborating cross-functionally, and staying ahead of industry trends.

Duties And Responsibilities

Digital Strategy Development:

  • Define and articulate a clear digital business strategy that aligns with the overall company objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for growth in Amazon, e-retail, and DTC channels.
  • Keep abreast of market trends and competitor activities to inform strategy.

Amazon Excellence

  • Oversee the Amazon sales channel, optimizing product listings, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Amazon key account managers.
  • Drive initiatives to increase visibility, customer ratings, and sales on the platform.

E-Retail Partnerships

  • Manage existing e-retail partnerships and identify new opportunities for collaboration.
  • Negotiate and execute agreements that enhance our brand's visibility and sales on e-retail platforms.
  • Monitor performance metrics and ensure compliance with partner agreements.

Direct-to-Consumer (DTC)

  • Develop and execute a DTC strategy, including the establishment of an e-commerce website and related infrastructure.
  • Create and implement marketing and promotional strategies to drive traffic and sales through the DTC channel.
  • Analyze customer data and feedback to continuously improve the online shopping experience.
  • Social Commerce and Digital Content:
  • Create and implement marketing and promotional strategies to drive traffic and sales, leveraging social commerce platforms such as TikTok.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create engaging digital content, including short-form video content, that enhances the customer experience and drives conversion.
  • Utilize data and analytics to measure the impact of social commerce and digital content initiatives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with sales, marketing, supply chain, and IT teams to ensure alignment with digital business goals.
  • Collaborate with IT to implement and maintain digital tools and platforms required for the digital business strategy.

Team Leadership

  • Build and lead a high-performing digital business team, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team.

Desired Skills And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in digital commerce, preferably in the FMCG sector (consumables experience is a plus).
  • Previous experience in developing and leading DTC initiatives.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with proficiency in analytics tools.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of Amazon advertising platforms, including AMS and Sponsored Products, with a strong understanding of Amazon's algorithm and ranking factors.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large budgets and complex item catalogues within the consumer goods industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Familiarity with future technologies, such as Amazon Marketing Stream, Amazon Marketing Cloud, AI, and ML, is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with the capacity to influence and inspire teams.
  • Experience managing external agency relationships and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving performance marketing objectives, incremental return on ad spend, and new customer acquisition.
