- [Instructor] Sales cadences are a sequence of activities like calls, emails, and other tasks that guide a salesperson through the best next steps to take a potential customer closer to an actual paying customer. You can look at sales cadences as a custom to-do list. Some people may even call it a sales playbook. For example, let's say you are a business owner who owns a shoe store. You just hired a new salesperson named Kelly to start selling your high-end custom sneakers. Kelly is answering phone calls from potential customers, talking to them in the store, and following up by phone, text, and email and trying to keep track of all of that in her notebook. She's dealing with brand-new customers and some longtime loyal customers who already know about the store and the products. This can be very overwhelming.
