Recording an iOS device
- [Instructor] You can record the screen of an iOS device running iOS 8 or newer. Now the device needs to be physically connected to your Mac via a Lightning cable, and it needs to be a device that you've authorized to connect to your Mac. From the New Recording window, the Record iOS Device is the option that you're looking for. Now initially, this option is grayed out, and the drop-down menu says, No Available iOS Devices. But when you connect your device, the drop-down menu updates to show the name that you have assigned to your device and the checkbox becomes available. Check the box and ScreenFlow is ready to record your iOS device. And before you begin recording, make sure that your iOS device is ready to be recorded. Now the most important setting to make on your iOS device is to set the rotation of the device before you begin recording. Once recording begins, avoid rotating your device.
