Wrong answer types
- [Voiceover] One of the nice things about the GRE is that every single wrong answer choice has to have a specific identifiable reason that it's wrong. Otherwise, the test wouldn't be fair. So in this video, I'll talk about some of the more common ways the test writers making answer choice wrong. So the first type is words that go too far. This could be words like absolute statements. Maybe words like always and never. It's kinda hard for something to be true all of the time so beware of choices that seems to make that claim. Word choices can also be too extreme into GRE or even maybe too broad. Passengers usually have very narrow scopes and that can make writers are usually fairly careful and somewhat humble. So broad or extreme wording is less likely to be correct. What are the GREs favorite wrong answer types is something that makes logical sense and maybe even that's true in the real life but that isn't supported by the passage.
