Discover how Nathan Broslawsky, Achieve’s SVP of Product & Engineering, takes leadership and tech strategies to Darwinian levels. As a member of Built In’s Expert Contributor Network, Nathan discusses the Darwinian approach to building adaptable frameworks, processes, and organizational systems that would make anyone rethink their own strategy. “Whether designing a framework, a process or an organizational system, it is tempting to prescribe a well-thought-out, detailed description of how something should work in every imaginable condition,” said Nathan. “Designing systems that embrace a Darwinian approach requires a different mindset, however. Instead of striving for complete control and predictability, acknowledging and preparing for uncertainty can lead to more robust systems.” Don’t miss out on this game-changing perspective ➡ https://bit.ly/4bz6Cx8 #weareachieve
Love this! Especially the point about core principles/ guiding principles for system design! I feel most discovery and implementation cycles go through a series of intentional and unintentional trade off decisions. And if there is no guiding principle overtly, these trade off decisions are going be misaligned, completely arbitrary and siloed.
Love the insights Nathan Broslawsky

1wIn a world where many think setting up a Scrum board in Jira guarantees team agility, your view of a system as an evolving environment rather than a fixed set of rules was eye-opening. This highlights that true agility comes from the ability to adapt and change, and that having a rigid ruleset instead of core principles can actually hinder growth rather than promote it.
