I'm often asked about how I balance different ventures. A deep sense of purpose keeps me aligned with my priorities and helps me manage time. I also believe in selecting the right people, empowering my team and trusting them to get the job done. The Eisenhower Matrix has been one of my guides in juggling diverse enterprises. This technique is a way to organize tasks by urgency and importance. It categorizes tasks into four quadrants based on urgency and importance: Urgent and Important, Important but Not Urgent, Urgent but Not Important, and Neither Urgent nor Important. 𝗜𝗳 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 – I do it right away. I prioritize such tasks above all others, making them the top items on my to-do list. 𝗜𝗳 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁 – I schedule it for a time when there are no urgent and important tasks remaining. 𝗜𝗳 𝗶𝘁'𝘀 𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 – I delegate it. Many tasks tend to fall in this category and can be a drain on the resources. 𝗜𝗳 𝗶𝘁'𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 – I can choose to not do it at all. For an organization, it can be a sign of what they can discontinue. Picture Source: Pinterest/@theblogrelay
A commonly followed matrix, no doubt. Eventually, the buck stops at your desk. So, in case the delegated task is not upto your satuisfaction, you end up spending more time in re-doing it! Scheduling is fine - but it assumes that at that scheduled time, no more 'Urgent' tasks show up. My thought: Equipping oneself with tools & techniques that enables one to complete their assigned tasks faster - could be a feasible, worth trying, option.
Good decision Techniques. The employees must be taught "Institutions reputation is effected by the members actions, misdeed, mischief, conspiracy, for some personal gain of few members, Generally discredits&impacts institutions long-term reputation.Members must understand&avoid such acts in view of drawing huge salary from corporates. Ananya Birla : It is grid 2 namely imp and not urgent which is the most important part of an individual’s long term roadmap and which would ultimately shape the trajectory for him/her!
Thought-provoking…. Having a sense of purpose is crucial in balancing multiple ventures. As you mentioned, a deep sense of purpose keeps priorities aligned and aids in time management. It helps in selecting the right people, empowering the team, and trusting them to get the job done. This alignment ensures that tasks are organized effectively, as demonstrated by the use of the Eisenhower Matrix.

Well expressed! As a leader, it's crucial to instill a sense of urgency in his/her team for important tasks well before they become urgent.
By systematically categorizing and addressing tasks, the Eisenhower Matrix not only enhances productivity but also supports strategic decision-making and efficient resource management. This approach can be particularly beneficial in the dynamic landscape of entrepreneurship, where prioritizing effectively can make a significant difference in achieving business success. Ananya Birla
