🤝New European Partnership🤝 Yesterday, ForwardX Robotics announced a strategic partnership with VOYATZOGLOU to be the official distributer in Greece and Romania. This would see ForwardX's comprehensive portflio of AMRs be distributed across Voyatzoglou's Greek and Romanian markets, through their subsidiary EUROFIT - Voyatzoglou Romania. 🤖A First for Italy🤖 Last week, Geek+, in collaboration with SSI SCHÄFER, completed the first tote-to-person project in Italy, for European pharmaceutical company Dr. Max. The new facility is focused on Pharmaceutical and cosmetics E-commerce fulfilment. This ensures efficient processes and a seamless supply chain, as well as allowing future growth; the new warehouse will gradually handle pharmacy deliveries in addition to e-commerce orders. Wayne Tai, channel partner manager for EMEA, Geek+, said, "The combination of our robots with SSI Schaefer's components offers Dr. Max a variety of possibilities. Should the requirements change, the system can be customized at any time." "Plus, the replication of Geek+ solutions throughout Dr. Max facilities is proof that warehouse automation with mobile robots is a winning strategy," he continued. From automatic order start and picking directly into cartons to automated shipping preparation, including volume reduction and carton sealing, the e-commerce fulfilment centre integrates a range of warehouse automation. "It is important to us to flexibly tailor our solutions to the requirements of our customers. 🤝Robotics and Sustainability🤝 Yong Zheng, CEO of Geek+, recently wrote in The Peak Singapore about the clear and important link between automating a warehouse and a decreased carbon footprint. Streamlining processes, reducing idle times, optimal resource allocation and cutting down energy-consuming tasks were all clear positives that can help make the warehouse more sustainable through automation. "By investing in warehouse automation, companies can create a more sustainable, efficient, and employee-friendly operation that is more than well-equipped to handle the challenges of the modern economy", Zheng wrote. 📈Projected Growth for Intralogistics📈 The market for Warehouse Robotics was recently valued at over $4.5BN in 2023. The market is now expected to develop at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 19.6% from 2024 - 2031, reaching a value of over $19BN. The projected growth is partly down to industry growth, particularly within the Retail and E-Commerce space. According to ABI Research, Autonomous Lift Trucks are the product that will grow the fastest, with shipments expected to double across the course of the next year. Ryan Wiggins, Senior Analyst at ABI Research, said, "More organizations are now exploring how they can optimize their industrial lift truck fleets through better management by adding telematics systems and exploring autonomous models for certain tasks.” After a tough 2023, it seems 2024 and beyond is looking up for the industry!
