Taking time off to recharge isn't just a luxury—it's a necessity for maintaining peak productivity and satisfaction in our professional lives. ☀️ The peak of summer is a great time to practice balancing work and life for greater engagement. Here are some tips to help you maintain a healthy work-life balance during the summer months: 🔌 Fully disconnect. Plan ahead to completely unplug from work when you’re on PTO. Studies show that taking regular breaks helps reduce stress and improve overall job satisfaction. ❌ Set boundaries. When you’re not on PTO, clearly define your work hours and stick to them. Setting boundaries between work and personal time can prevent burnout and enhance your focus when you are working. 🏄 Get active. Use the longer days to engage in outdoor fun––a family picnic, a hike, or a simple evening walk––to boost your mood and energy levels. 📈 Find a coach. Engage in BetterUp coaching, which has been shown to lead to an +81% increase in work-life balance.
Taking time off isn't a perk, it's fuel for our professional engine ☀️ I am looking forward to a vacation that is for sure.
Very good advice. Take that PTO!

1dA gentle reminder to @BetterUp and other business people on LinkedIn - LTA's break communication. IOW (in other words) - three-letter acronyms lose the audience if we don't know what the LTA means.) For many South African's including me, PTO stands for Please Turn Over so either I take the time to look up your TLA or I move on and you lose my attention. Also, not everyone around the world is in summer right now - SA is not. Just so you know, this comment is not meant to burn BetterUp. It is intended to help you be better (see what I did there) and reach a broader audience. I like your content and will continue to follow you. {I'm also happy to help with further communication tweaks if/when needed. 😁 }
