The business, which is headquartered in San Francisco 49ers, presented its plans for a 2.5 million square foot complex located 60 miles south of #Atlanta in #Thomaston. The facility, known as a circularity center, will receive mixed plastics Nos. 1–7 and process them using ⚗pyrolysis after removing impurities, shredding the plastics, and compressing them into shredded material pellets. Fuels, oils, waxes, new polymers, and other chemical products can be made from the output. It was announced that Brightmark will bring in both post-consumer and post-industrial plastic from a range of sources, such as MRFs, 🏫schools, industrial sites, and 🏭manufacturing facilities. At the moment, #Ashley, Indiana is home to one Brightmark chemical recycling facility in the United States, and one is an Australian plant in New South Wales. PureCycle's Ironton purification facility has produced over 183,000 pounds of recycled plastic pellets in the last two weeks. “We have run a wide variety of feedstock that includes recycled curbside material, woven polypropylene, and agglomerated agricultural twine,” PureCycle Technologies CEO, Dustin Olson, said. “We have purposefully run challenging feeds to test our technology, define the boundaries of our technology, and to set us up for long-term feedstock flexibility. Each of these feedstocks have different levels of contaminants and different physical properties.
