bp = 𝓑𝓻𝓸𝓴𝓮𝓷 𝓟𝓻𝓸𝓶𝓲𝓼𝓮𝓼 ✘ 3-decades of UK pension promises in tatters following 3-years of broken promises from a discredited leadership team. ✘ 3-years of undermining the UK BP Pension Trustees & rejecting their advice. ✘ 3-decades of USA pension promises in tatters with a federal judge ruling that BP “committed fraud or similarly inequitable conduct”, as bp had violated the Federal Employee Retirement Income Security Act ✘ BP wilfully misrepresented details of a pension plan. ✘ BP worked to “conceal the true nature” of their agreement with workers. ✘ BP NL pensioners begin a campaign against bp treatment of Dutch Pensioners ✘ In a dispute dating back to the 1990’s where pensioners have won 4 legal cases yet received no settlement it was said, “BP under scrutiny over Zambian pension shortfall”, Energy Voice 2020. ✘ “British Petroleum International are legally and morally bound to settle the claim…” Expendito Chipalo. ✘ 2-EVP's now moving on (could it be that they have a conscience?) bp appear to be mirroring morally bankrupt behaviours that have been revealed in the #PostOffice #scandal enquiry. Great facilities advancement since I first worked for AIOC (BP Caspian) back in 96,97 when we built and installed the chirag 1 early oil project MSF, New Topsides, installed the oil and gas pipelines to oily rocks and the first new sangaschal terminal back then, as well ACG & SD1, Produced Water, C&WP, East and West Azeri and DWG etc etc Development phases 2000 - 2008. I can remember the original 4 x SOCAR Jackets half built and abandoned in the old Fabrication yard Facilties along with the original abandoned rolling mill. How state of the art facilities progression has moved on. Great to see, shame I never stayed on with BP for SD2, COP, AGT and ACE etc, but there you go. Great job by all from 2009 upto 2024.

It is absolutely obscene how many sycophants there are in the comments here cheering on the destruction of the biosphere that keeps us all alive. The hottest 9 months in 125,000 years, never seen ocean temperatures that will lead to a hurricane season in the North Atlantic like never before, not a day goes by without another extreme weather event. Meanwhile, BP is printing money that then goes to shareholders and executives instead of their pensioners or renewables. Will it ever be enough? At least you're not shy about leaving enough evidence for your eventual trial in The Hague.

Whilst bp is doing some incredible engineering, on the other hand it is doing reverse engineering on UK defined benefit pensions. For the first time ever, the company has refused the recommendation of the independent BP pension fund for an affordable below inflation cost of living pension increase. #BP won’t honour 30+ year old pension policy commitments. 😢 We need to bring this pension dispute to wider attention so people can get a more balanced view of the company.
