Ireland’s second Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Week is here!   This impactful initiative is an integral part of the broader European Sustainable Development Week (ESDW), which is going from September 18th to October 8th, 2023.   Last year, ESDW saw over 7,000 activities across 24 countries, with more than 100 significant events right here in Ireland.   SDG Week is a call to action for not just individuals but also for businesses and organisations.     At BITCI, we're committed to supporting businesses and institutions on their sustainability journey.   We work closely with our members to define how the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) can be integrated into their strategies, taking a progressive and leading role within an Irish context. With expertise on enhancing social inclusion and community engagement through to specialisms in positive nature, circular economy and decarbonisation. GRUPO ARANIA joins the Basque Alliance for the SDG. As of November, GRUPO ARANIA is now a member of the Basque Alliance for the #SDG. This is a statement of our commitment to society and the United Nations Global Compact (2030 Agenda). The 2030 Agenda is an initiative for change approved by the UN in 2015 and signed by 193 countries, to meet 17 Sustainability and Solidarity Goals. In the Basque Country, the Agenda 2030 is considered a social contract for progress and equality. The Basque Alliance for the Sustainable Development Goals was established On 2 October and GRUPO ARANIA has joined it with the aim of meeting the goals set as part of its own commitment to eight of these SDGs, as reflected in its annual Sustainability Report.
