Let's celebrate the achievements of women in the industry and acknowledge the work that still needs to be done to ensure gender diversity. Did you know that women make up only about 27.4% of workers in transport, postal and warehousing, and this falls to about 20% for land transport alone? And only 4.5% of transport CEOs are women, with a pay gap of more than 16% above the average gap of 14%. As Australia experiences an infrastructure and transport investment boom, it's critical that we have people with the necessary skills to deliver it.
