As a founding member of the Bord Bia - The Irish Food Board Origin Green Programme, we have already taken many actions to reduce our GHG emissions and progress our climate action journey through efforts such as: -Sourcing renewable energy: We now source 100% renewable wind electricity across all our operations. -Investment in Waste Heat Recovery: Capturing waste heat for energy at our Irish operations has reduced total energy use and GHG emissions. -Sustainable Sourcing: As a policy, Palm Oil is no longer permitted in any of our ingredients, and no protein raw materials or dry ingredients are knowingly sourced from areas of deforestation -Food Waste: We partner with FoodCloud to redistribute edible surplus food to local charities and have donated the equivalent of over 230, 000 meals to date. Our Insights team was thrilled to join the thousands of foodie enthusiasts at Regent Park for last week's Taste of London Festival, devouring the best food and drinks in the city. With 5 days, 36 restaurants, 50 chefs, 150 artisan producers, and eight long sessions of deliciousness, the team scoured the food stalls to bring back some key trends to the table, along with their Top 3 favourite dishes. The combination of sun, barbecues, beer gardens, and sport are set to take hold on Europe over the coming weeks. Suitably, we see an uptick of BBQ dishes across Instagram and TikTok. Extravagance is another theme so far this month, in both quantity and flavour, with the likes of an XXL Breakfast Croissant and a Honey Chipotle Chicken Quesadilla. Health is still proving popular too, as we see in the Healthy Chicken Tikka Kebab Board and Sweet Potato Pizza across the two channels.
