"#Leadershipdevelopment has been broken for some time, but the consequences are now being felt more acutely, partly due to rising levels of burnout, disengagement, and uncertainty." Are all the $$$ we dump into turning people into #leaders worth it? We need more of them and need them quicker than ever before. Text books and seminars are great but there's no #learning like giving people the reigns in their current positions and observing them sink or swim ( and how they react to both) . As long as we tell them they will fail often as they learn, their foundation will be much more solid. Not being afraid to fail should be the first tenant of leadership. https://lnkd.in/gKuPidpU
