So many people in their 20s and 30s think they're "lost" in life... you're not lost, you're just early in the process! I started VaynerMedia at 34 years old in someone else's conference room, because we had no money for rent. It was a ton of risk by normal standards when somebody reads it on paper. But for me, it just felt like progression. Society puts a lot of pressure on people in their 20s and 30s to “figure out” their lives without understanding how long life really is. Many young people today will end up living beyond 100 years old — with most of those years being good, healthy years. That means if you’re under 30, you’ve got about 60-70 more years of execution left. There are challenges of course - but it's super normal to grow and evolve over time at your own pace. What you'll want at 22 isn't always what you'll want at 30 or 45. Try to get to a place of success (aka happiness) but don't ever judge yourself for where you're at ❤️
💯
“EARLY IN PROCESS” -> Spot on!
there are a lot of blank moments in te STARTING
I pretty much have nothing to say to myself for my 20s.Most of it were lost to some personal and mental struggles. Im just starting to see some light and im 31.I can say that though its painful i also see possibilities.I see people around me settling in getting comfortable and slowly fading. And I have this fire and desire to choose the pain and be uncomfortable. If you can see the possibility you can have in your lives. No age should be your limit.
First off, let’s acknowledge the elephant in the room: feeling ‘lost’ is a common sentiment among many in their 20s and 30s. But let’s reframe that. You’re not lost, you’re in the ‘discovery phase’ of your life. Starting VaynerMedia at 34 in someone else’s conference room? That’s not just a risk, that’s a calculated move in the chess game of life. It’s not about the resources you have, but how resourceful you can be. Society does put pressure on us to have it all figured out. But let’s negotiate with that idea. Life isn’t a contract with rigid terms. It’s a conversation that evolves over time.
I hope so!
