✍ When I dare to venture into my DMs, I have typically 2 responses that will fit 90% of my messages. (1) "No, thank you." (2) "Unfortunately, I don't think I will be a good resource for you. Right now I only hire for on-site roles in Oklahoma City & Tulsa OK. And they are largely for sales and account management roles. If there is anything else I can help with, just let me know via DMs." The other 10% are people asking for advice or an introduction. I'm always happy to help in both of these ways! Coffee chat requests are the area I struggle with. I love the idea of coffee chats! And I've really enjoyed the very few I've done over the last year. But I still turn them down. As a recruiter, we get this offer a lot. If I said yes, I wouldn't have time to do my day job. Or I wouldn't have any family time and I protect family time.
