We believe in the power of design and collaboration. Many of the issues we face can be tackled with these two potent ingredients. We are proud to have signed the Creatives for Climate commitment and joined a community harnessing these powerful forces for good. Being a part of this commitment means: 1) ACTIVE PARTICIPATION: We commit to shaping the change we seek, bringing new ideas, solutions, and energy to drive climate action efforts forward. 2) COLLABORATION: We commit to practising radical collaboration to find solutions to challenges that no single person, agency, or organisation can do alone. 3) SOLUTIONS: We commit our creativity to paint a picture of what we are fighting for, not just what we are fighting against. 4) INTERSECTIONALITY: We recognise the intersectional nature of the challenges we face and commit to social justice as part of taking a systemic approach to climate action 5) DIVEST FROM DESTRUCTION: We believe that “creativity for good” can only exist alongside a commitment to divest from starting with big polluters, including fossil fuel clients. As an organization focused on regenerative systems, we're often asked... 🌈 Why is regenerative having a moment? How is it different from sustainable? 🌱 Brenna Simmons-St. Onge says: "I see sustainability and regeneration working together in a dance. Some regenerative practitioners will tell you that regeneration is three steps ahead of sustainability—that was my belief for about ten years while studying regenerative practices. But within the last few years, through this work of deep community listening, we've come to find that we don’t think regeneration is better than sustainability—we see regeneration and sustainability working in balance." Wrapped up and ready to go! 🌈 Over the past 6 weeks, Karolina Rucinska and I have shared a series of 6 short stories, each one highlighting a key ingredient of sustainable development: people and skills that have become a reality in a post-Net Zero Wales of 2051. The stories highlight how the skills and practices of the caring economy align with a just transition, using prevention over cure, principles of reciprocity and mutual support, emotions and working with the natural systems that support us.  There is potential to add more stories to the bunch, animate them, and build on them as ever-evolving concepts and frameworks for how we would like to live as a collective in a society. While facilitating one of my sessions titled "Shift from Ego to Eco", I invited my participants to reflect on their relationship with the planet and their role in creating a more sustainable future. I used various methods and examples to challenge their assumptions and to provoke them to think critically and creatively about the environmental issues we face. The session aimed to inspire them to adopt an eco-centric perspective that values the interdependence of all living beings and the natural systems that support them. #climateaction #climatechange #climateemergency
