Proud to announce Texas' next economic development mission takes us to Taiwan, South Korea, & Japan. I look forward to meeting with business & government leaders in each country to strengthen our economic & cultural partnerships. Together, we’ll forge the future of innovation.

Texas, characterized by its minimal governmental intervention, thrives on family and community support pillars. This ethos underscores its robust economic achievements: 1. With a population exceeding 30 million residents, 2. Texas boasts an economy approaching $3 trillion, emphasizing its substantial economic output. 3. It holds the distinction of being the top state for exporting goods and services. This facet is pivotal as it generates disposable income crucial for bolstering the middle class, diverging from reliance on redistribution, taxation, monetary expansion, or borrowing. If only other states and other countries took a page from Texas...

As an veteran, inventor, futurist, healthcare provider, and business owner in Texas, I would like to request the implementation of new laws to support growth of small businesses and incentivize innovation and intellectual property through tax credits. Additionally, measures should be put in place to limit the influence of large out-of-state corporations on the market, which can disadvantage Texas small businesses. We need regulation to ensure that bright minds are encouraged to innovate and create new companies—potentially the next Apples and Googles—without the restrictions of non-compete clauses. It is essential that Texas provides the fertile ground for inventors and businesses to thrive without facing barriers to entry. Many healthcare providers have great ideas and inventions, but their contracts prevent them from implementing these ideas or creating their own businesses. We have great minds, but we are telling them not to think.

Don't get so caught up with innovation and moving more business (and workers) to Texas without thinking hard about the ramifications to our political position as one of the last bastions of freedoms this nation has.
