This week in #DMACouncils... All about definitions: What makes B2B sexy? How do you support media agencies and owners? Can the UK be an AI leader? And could you give? Account Based Marketing is Based Our #B2B Council is focusing on what makes B2B unique - it's the razor's edge you walk in managing client experiences. You don't manage a portfolio of millions of prospective customers, but ten or twenty. It's more than personalized, it's personal, and that, to me, is exciting. We're looking at how we can support emerging talent in the B2B space. DM to get onboard at this crucial time! Let's Media-te Together With Hattie Whiting and Tim Samuel, the Media Council is reshaping itself in the image of media agencies and media owners and pursuing my favourite solution to big problems: Bringing people together. We're asking what the challenges and opportunities are with so many new advertisers in the TV space and the interest explosion in real-life experiences, like the #Outernet. Now's the time to get together (at least it will be in early July). Bridging the Wild West and Over-regulated Rest The wilderness of Brexit, post-pandemic slump, and lack of collective power (having left the EU) make it difficult for the UK to lead #AI governance. However, the UK's regulatory heritage and capacity for creativity can situate it as a location for innovation, as the bridge between the wild west of the U.S. and the over-legislated China. IP, Data, and Contract law provided sufficient coverage for the internet, search engines, and social. They are the foundation of an ethical approach that fosters creativity and innovation. The same issues that plague AI and LLMs plagued all of these innovations. Regulation and marketing need to rely on the fundamentals for a successful future; customer-first always, respectful of data & privacy, creative in strategy, and clear in communication. It's a complex but exciting moment in all industries, that demands the best of our empathy and focus on people. Great to be a part of the DMA (Data & Marketing Association) UK in hosting the evening. Many Hands, Light Work A good friend from Golley Slater Cirencester is taking on a Costwolds Challenge tomorrow in support of Tia's Wings. A charity ensuring children who need air transfer services get the support they need. If you can spare a note, join me in giving. https://lnkd.in/ehfgnZAe

Super summary, thanks Isaac Reid - I'm really excited about the DMA's crisply articulated strategy, the energy in the task forces, and the setup we created together in the B2B Council yesterday to ensure our part of the industry both benefits from, and informs the DMA's work.

Very much looking forward to the next few months in the B2B Council
