I attended #TheAuthenticLawyerSummit and was blown away! It's a two-day workshop hosted by Aaron Baer and Dhawal Tank that covers a range of topics including lawyer's well-being, business and personal brand development, ADHD awareness, and more! I've gained lots of insights from the hosts and speakers. Here are my takeaways: 🔸 Lawyers must prioritize their mental health and well-being. Yes, we're trained to have clients' best interests in mind, but taking care of ourselves is crucial to presenting our best selves to assist our clients effectively. 🔸 Many lawyers experience stress due to a lack of control over their time. Starting and ending the day with activities that bring joy—a 10-minute walk, 5 minutes of yoga—can provide a sense of control and grounding. 🔸 Approach networking without a predetermined agenda. Showing your authentic self and being genuinely curious about others fosters the development of meaningful relationships. 🔸 1 in 5 lawyers has ADHD, so chances are you may know or work with someone with ADHD! 🔸 We often focus on our weaknesses and how to “fix” them. Let’s get into the habit of recognizing our strengths and how to harness them! I’m on a journey to discover my true-self. It’s an uncomfortable process as it requires pushing outside my comfort zone and embracing vulnerability. This workshop arrived just in time as a reminder that no matter how challenging the journey is, working on my authenticity is totally worth it! Thank you very much for organizing this amazing event!
