Some breaking news of my own...
Kathleen- Congratulations to you on your amazing run at Fox 5 San Diego. I suggested to Rich and Ray to hire you and so glad they did. Working with you was a joy. Sharing one favorite image of the Fox 5 News outdoor campaign we did that featured you and the "Made For San Diego" positioning line. Best of luck on your next chapter and Stay Classy always!
It was an absolute pleasure to be able to work with you over at Fox 5. I want to wish you the best of luck with your future endeavors and adventures.
Kathleen (and Jeff too!) What beautiful news... you have blessed San Diego in so many ways. What a well-deserved time to design your lives again and see what amazing doors God opens for you. Thank you for all the fun Scripps memories as we all cheered on the boys as they grew in baseball and in life. I'm forever grateful for the joy you brought at my first fundraising gala too. There is no doubt you will continue changing lives in whatever you and Jeff discover in this next exciting chapter. Our best from us to you. D and N
Kathleen, as someone opening this chapter of their career to you closing yours, I’m happy that we got to share some of the pages ❤️ thank you for paving a path for me and so many others to walk on. You have treated me with kindness and patience (lol), and you have made my first memories in the newsroom incredibly positive. Thank you ❤️
You were a great anchor and will be missed, wish you the best for the best to come
Congratulations Kathleen, you've kept the bar exceptionally high in San Diego TV news! Wholly appreciate your desire to move on and do something new. Always appreciated our on-air interactions, and well done on your considerable, capable, and reliable time in the anchor's chair. https://tinyurl.com/mrystvrd
💙💙💙💙 this just made me cry. I never had the opportunity to work with you but I have known you through conversations about you in the newsroom and on my tv in the evenings. Good luck to you and I hope you stay in media some how. 💙💙💙 Maybe start a podcast!!!!!!!!
Now is when. I got out of the news seven years ago. After 42 years of broadcasting since high school, I thought I might be lost. Surprise. I have never looked back. I regained my life. No more working holidays without appreciation for sacrifice. Now is when. Good luck.

1wI am no longer living where I can see your broadcasts, and yet I still feel a great sense of loss that you are “retiring” from the job which you have done so well the past few decades. I remember when you teamed with Barbara Lee at 8, and many of us who worked for the competition got nervous. But your time at Fox5 has been stellar, as proven by your awards and ratings; and the station will have a very difficult time replacing you. I pray for nothing but the best for you and your family as you move to new adventures. San Diego will miss you.
