Customer-Focused Growth with Experimentation | Advocate of Strategic Testing and of Ship Fast & Iterate
Mature experimentation organizations are set up to win. They have internal alignment and speak a common language. The sheer fact of building an experimentation program paid dividends in : - Improving communication between teams - Building efficiencies in workflows - Being agile thanks to customer feedback - Sharing insights across the business - Making data-driven decision making - Favoring insights over bias - Sourcing ideas from everyone - Thinking holistically about growth - Validating insights with testing They did not start there though. They got there by building the process, one piece at a time. Maybe the process isn’t sexy. But organizational shifts are.

In Product (as in life!), we don't have the luxury of knowing all of the facts. Uncertainty - as scary as it may be - is something we have to find ways to constructively deal with. 🔮 Nevertheless, if we do have the courage to embark on the journey into the unknown and start making & trying things out, there are huge rewards! 💪 We often get further, learn much more than we think and overcome obstacles that may once have seemed insurmountable. Come learn from our wonderful panel of speakers from Sky, University of Bath and UAL in our online-only event about how they've done just that in their respective sectors. You'll pick up some tips and learnings you can incorporate in your next big decision, product move or new project. Sign up below - we'd love to see you there!

The product life cycle is the progression of a product through 4 distinct stages-introduction, growth, maturity, and decline. The concept was developed by German economist Theodore Levitt, who published his Product Life Cycle model in the Harvard Business Review in 1965. We still use this model today. Basically, the product life cycle is the time from the product concept through its eventual withdrawal from the market. The product life cycle is used for decision-making and strategy development throughout each stage. #LPUcareerplanning

A roadmap is the link between your strategy and execution. Strategy without implementation goes no-where. Execution without purpose is waste. It’s important to remember that the information feeding both sides of the roadmap should be bi-directional. It’s not just about strategy setting direction for what we work on but valuable insights on what we learn through experimentation, discovery, and delivery should be used to refine and validate our strategy.

How can product managers get the most value from market analysis? Our #topicoftheweek for this week is Market Analysis. As a former Market Research and Analysis person, I was surprised that we had not covered Market Analysis in any of the first 141 Product Conversations. With product managers being responsible for managing the business of their products, analyzing the market is a critical activity that product management should be doing. Too often, this activity is neglected or not done, so this week we wanted to dig in on how product managers can get the most value from market analysis. What should they care about? What models should they be using? How should this help them make decisions? Share your thoughts on market analysis, and and make sure you put our LinkedIn Live panel on Friday (May 17) at 12 pm ET on your calendar. Perhaps your answer to this question could get you an invite to join us! #productmanagement #productleadership #marketanalysis

In today's business landscape, a strong product strategy is critical. It's not just about having a strategy; it's about execution and decision making supported by both data and empirical evidence of demand. In a world where shortcuts to product development often fall short of expectations, those who have done their due diligence stand out. Success lies in the hands of those who have done their homework - they've undertaken a thorough analysis of their products and have a deep understanding of the strengths of their products and their business case. The ones who approach their ventures with an analytical mindset are poised to navigate the complexities and emerge successful in today's competitive arena. #productstrategy #businesssuccess #productdevelopment
