Thank you e27 (Optimatic) for allowing me to share my thoughts about why I build duPhonics Telenanny to solve one of the biggest challenges for Generation Alpha coming out from the post-covid era which is the astounding drop in literacy comprehension and English proficiency globally. Fact: 1/3 of American primary school students failed to read at the standardized level since the 1990s and this is getting progressively worse. Fact: English proficiency at the primary level in Asia has been on a decline by more than 50%. As for the market size, just with only 4 countries in Asia Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and China carrying an estimated 45 million children aged 4-12 is expected to have significant spending on primary-level education in Asia, surpassing all other generations by 2034 in billions of USD. #duphonics #literacy #metaverse #ai #telenanny #genalpha #english #startup

HISTORY of Education Historically, education has been passed down from parents. This explains why castes were formed based on occupation. The transfer of knowledge and connections will always happen in a family. This explains the existence of Parivaarwaad and Nepotism. Education is a step to break this pattern. Educational institutes/Gurukuls have been established so that equal knowledge reaches to everyone, and individuals with the best skills and interests can choose their careers. This explains the importance of Right to Education Act in our constitution. Still there are gaps due to differential availability of quality education and capital. Venture Capitalists are playing a significant role in reducing this gap of capital. AI has the potential to reduce cost of quality education by many-fold. There are challenges. Challenge to create the Resources that works best with new technology. Mindset to adopt new technology takes time. It's Hard. very Hard. But, as someone has said "Change is the only Constant." #education #history #vc #ai #edtech

Pakistan is also part of this AI Education project
Our mission is to make sure that children in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) are not left behind. We are working to ensure that AI tools are appropriate to LMIC contexts and are designed understanding the needs of learners. The future we're working towards will see all children benefit from pedagogically sound, contextually relevant AI tools that work in local languages, tell stories that children can relate to and continue to work even if internet is unavailable or the power goes down. We're supporting seven pilots and research & development projects that work towards that aim in different ways. Over the next few months we will be sharing evidence of what worked and what didn't. We will also share all code developed as part of these projects. Good teaching has always equipped students for the future. My schooling did not include using a computer, the internet wasn't a thing, and we didn't have cell phones. And yet, here I am, thriving. I owe that to a few things: 1. Creativity and critical thinking from time spent with my dad in the workshop. 2. Resilience and gratitude learned from growing up in Africa. 3. A sense of hope. 4. Enjoying learning new things. I can make a difference, and that keeps me pushing forward. We must inspire our students to keep trying, fail, get up, believe in themselves, and know they can make a difference. That they matter. Now, our job is not about information. It is about relationships. #AI #Edtech #Education #K12 #teaching #QuestSim

The opportunities discussed in this insightful talk are enormous! Asif Shahriar took us on a journey exploring how AI is revolutionizing education. Key highlights include: - The crucial role of AI in both classroom and administrative settings, directly impacting children's education. - Imagining a classroom where each of the 25 students is taught based on their preferences and capabilities, leading to substantial growth over a decade. - AI's significance in supporting autistic and special needs children within educational systems. - Addressing concerns about the excessive use of technology and the importance of maintaining vital social connections in the educational process. - Exploring the concept of creating a personalized virtual tutor tailored to individual learning preferences. 'The future we're working towards will see all children benefit from pedagogically sound, contextually relevant AI tools that work in local languages, tell stories that children can relate to and continue to work even if internet is unavailable or the power goes down.' That's quite the vision! The seven projects are all working - and, increasingly, collaborating - towards these goals. #everychildmatters #sdg4 #aiforeducation

Great initiative! Stand out part for us is captured in the second paragraph of the post - “The future we're working towards will see all children benefit from pedagogically sound, contextually relevant AI tools that work in local languages, tell stories that children can relate to and continue to work even if internet is unavailable or the power goes down.” Absolutely love the emphasis on: 📌sound pedagogy 📌contextually relevant tools, 📌working in local languages (super duper!) 📌off-line features (brilliant & much needed) Hopefully these fantastic and potentially transformative pilot projects spread across the continent. #AIforEducation #AIinEducation #everychildmatters #Education #Edtech #GETA

“Given what we are learning about the brain, the nature of intelligences and human potential, Given what we are learning about the complex titanic-like crises that are facing us, Given what we are learning about the future of AI, Given what we are learning about the wisdom and spirituality of indigenous communities, Given what we are learning about global capitalism and the those profiteering from war, hatred, waste and sickness, Given what we are learning about the evolutionary power of the rest of nature, It is time that we embrace a learning revolution. Tinkering around the edges of the existing education system with “cute” solutions is not only insufficient, it is irresponsible, deceitful and harmful. We call for a total redesign of the education system. We invite you to join us in reimagining education. We need funders, creative experimenters and researchers to support this movement.” -Manish jain #ecoversities #shikshantar

😳 Is Sora technology scary or exciting? Two in one. Yes, deepfakes and misleading news are real threats. But here are 3 ways this technology will positively change the world forever: 1️⃣ Sora democratizes the creation of video content For example, a musician without much money will be able to "shoot" music videos. Now not only the rich and famous will be able to shoot trendy music videos. Anyone can create music videos. And that's great. 2️⃣ Sora will remove "repetitive" tasks Like ChatGPT, this AI helps streamline many routine tasks. The fact that Sora exists does not mean that the profession of animators, for example, will disappear. They will still be in demand, but will function more as directors than as executors. 3️⃣ Sora will revolutionize education Imagine that you and your child are studying mammoths. You can read the tutorial or watch the realistic woolly mammoths walking around that Sora has created.

AI Revolution in education? Whose revolution? There is no revolution for those without access to technology, skills and knowledge to use technology and access to the expertise to guide that development. Equity and inclusion would be the real revolution. AI is not going to terminate humans any time soon, but it will amplify us #Apeswithapps https://lnkd.in/g2DcYzPj
