This past June marked the first time since I began my fitness journey in late 2022 that I missed about 20 days at the gym. This was due to a trip to Korea, a mid-year operation, and Techbite 5.0. Simply put, I lost 1 kg of muscle mass that took me three months of intense training to gain. At 46, building and maintaining muscle mass is challenging. As an older startup founder, I want to share some insights: a healthy body leads to a healthy mind, and that’s something money can’t buy—you have to earn it. Just like quality time with your loved ones, you have to make it happen. Material wealth can bring convenience, but it won’t replace those precious moments. Lastly, consistency is key. No one can take away the compound interest of your skills. Always pay attention to your side hustles because they are your true MOAT. Happy weekend and cheers to your health and success! #startuplife #hustle #gymlife

Over the last few years, I have tried various fitness activities to keep myself healthy and upbeat. I always failed and could never be consistent. The reason is having a bold dream and expecting me to be consistent. The one day I don't do something, I stop the whole thing entirely. But Sahil Bloom gave a different perspective on habits. "It is okay to miss a day, but don't miss two days", and this one line changed many things for me. There are always off days when you can take a break... but you continue from the next day. It is now easy for me to keep up with my fitness habit. I missed yesterday but I continued this morning again...! You can follow Sahil to get more such things that can transform your life. PS: I do get some referral goodies if you sign up, but they are less valuable than the insights he shares :)

Empowering Multipreneurs & SMBs with Financial Insights & Data-Driven Strategies | Writer on financial fitness and accounting
I learn a lot about financial fitness from unconventional sources. One is my favorite physical fitness YouTuber, Bald Omni Man. I found him through his Berkerk Method program, an annual 2 - 3 hours long video (with ties to the Berserk anime) about self-coaching yourself to train harder. Bald Omni Man's mindset is to create something so great people wonder why you are not charging for it. Help Others for Free: Give valuable stuff to people without asking for anything back. Share your skills or knowledge to help others. Do well at a few exercises rather than spreading yourself thin on several more strategies. Be Really Good at a Few Things: Instead of doing lots of things just okay, focus on doing a few things well. Find what you're great at and practice it a lot. There is no natural limit. Genetics and age do not inhibit growth in physical fitness. There is always something you can do to improve. Keep Getting Better: You can constantly improve! Even if you think you're good enough, keep learning about financial fitness and finding new ways to be wise with money. #invest #financialfitness #finfitology #baldomniman #beastslayer #physicalfitness

If you feel like your goals are slipping away from you, I urge you to read this (I've been there, and this is how I turned it around) 👇🏽 We're entering the last 1/4 of 2023. It's getting colder, darker & statistically harder to stay motivated. It's exactly this time of year when an old version of Steve would typically have lost all motivation to go to the gym. I struggled for years because my goals were short-term, intense and superficial: “look good for summer”. So what changed??? My goal changed from being short-term and aesthetically motivated, to long-term & intrinsically motivated. My goal became long-term consistency and feeling good. BUT that doesn't mean I don't have dips in motivation, like anyone else. So over the last 3 years I've developed a tool kit keep me on track even in those moments where the last place I want to be is the gym. One constant companion on my health journey, as you'll know, has been my WHOOP. And I am SO delighted to finally be able to shout about their brand new feature - because I genuinely believe this could be the difference between you dropping off from your goals tomorrow, and you smashing them by the end of the year. 🚨 INTRODUCING: WHOOP COACH. Your personal AI health coach, on your wrist, accessed through your app. My last three questions asked: - "How does what I'm eating affect my sleep?" - "How does my sleep stack up against people my age?" - "Can you share a 30 minute upper body workout?" (so great for anyone bored of their workouts or new to the gym and don't know where to start!) And it's like having my second brain on board. Check out the video & if you have any questions, me & the WHOOP team will be replying in the comments! ⬇️ This has completely changed the game for me and I can't wait for you to try it out now, and let me know how you get on! #ad (proud brand partner & investor)

Having passed the milestone of 10,000 loyal followers on this platform, I thought it was time to tell you all a little more about myself. So here is a short interview, https://bit.ly/3LR6QEY that I just did for worlds times. As a lifetime serial entrepreneur, in addition to running https://breathesimple.com/ , I spend a lot of my ‘spare!’ time teaching and mentoring entrepreneurs. They are the future after all, and always so creative and stimulating to be with. The interview highlights some thoughts on how to survive being an entrepreneur learned the hard-way! ( All those scars on my back!) I will continue to post short commentaries on the latest research at the confluence where sleep, neurophysiology, and wearables collide. It is at this nexus where our team is building the next big opportunities in digital health. Be sure to follow us if your interests lie in one of these fields. Or you just like neat things in healthcare. And thanks for staying in touch and contributing to so many valuable discussions. #digitalhealth #healthcare #sleep #neurophysiology #wearables #entrepreneurship
