It's hard to believe I left the MacArthur Foundation one year ago today. In some ways, it feels like just yesterday. In others, it feels like a lifetime ago. So much has happened in the past 12 months. My partner and I went on our 2,500+ mile road trip and saw some amazing places throughout the Southeastern US. We bought a house and relocated to Knoxville, Tennessee. I joined a new (to me) LGBTQ+ community choir, and I started a great new job with Knoxville's Community Development Corporation. Oh yeah—and my partner is now my husband! While I miss many people in and aspects of my previous chapter in Chicago, I am getting more comfortable with the fact that that can be true AND that I can be so happy in this new chapter at the same time. Because life is crazy. And scary. And precious. And beautiful. And I am immensely grateful that my journey continues! https://lnkd.in/gWSS-NHd
