Today is International Women's Day! Collectively we can all #InspireInclusion by celebrating women's achievements, raising awareness about discrimination and taking direct action to drive gender parity. As we celebrate International Women's Day we must also celebrate our amazing #WomenInTech, shining a spotlight on the incredible work they do, their innovative mindset, inexhaustible drive, and thought leadership which contributes so significantly as a driving force behind Xerox and the Tech Industries success. 💥Below are some facts that we all need to be aware of 💥 🖨️ While women make up 47% of all employed adults in the US, as of 2022, they hold only 28% of computing and mathematical roles. 🖨️ A 2022 report from McKinsey & Company found that only 86 women are promoted to manager for every 100 men across every industry, but when isolated for tech, that number drops to 52 women for every 100 men. 🖨️ In US Corporations, the representation of white women at Manager level is 27%, for women of colour it is 13%. 🖨️ For every 100 men promoted from entry level to 1st level manager, 54 black women are promoted (and this has been falling since 2018). Let's continue this journey towards inclusion, and creating a welcoming environment where women feel valued, respected and empowered! "Unfortunately, you cannot be considered for a promotion as you have not been coming into the office" Imagine this being the reason your boss tells you you cannot be promoted... I am sure most have seen many companies announcing their RTO mandates, but Dell Technologies have certainly taken it too far with a new leaked memo revealing they have told employees they will not get promoted unless they consider coming into the office. Interesting as their recent diversity pledge stated "by 2030, our goal is for 40% of our global people leaders to identify as women" 👀 Anyone else seeing the main issue here? Clearly they have not seen how their new RTO will inevitably prevent them from achieving their diversity goal, not only affecting women, but impacting other diverse groups too. #diversityandinclusion #RTO #delltechnologies

DEI ISN'T JUST A BLACK THING...PAY ATTENTION... women! You're being bamboozled and led astray. When DEI measures are put in place they automatically favor women (white women in particular) first. It stands to reason that when they are retracted WOMEN will eventually suffer too. You, your daughters and their daughters are in for a rude awakening if we don't wake up and stop sleep walking. "The report’s authors don’t say why the growth in female representation is stalling, but they noted a “waning focus on diversity initiatives,” with mentions of ‘diversity’ and ‘inclusion’ becoming rarer on earnings calls. Since last year, companies have been reassessing diversity, equity and inclusion programs — including those meant to elevate women in leadership roles — as they grapple with legal uncertainties and political backlash from conservative activists who are trying to dismantle diversity initiatives." According to The Channel Company’s 2023 State of the Women of the Channel survey, there are aspects of life that the channel workforce, especially women employees, regularly adjust to or deprioritize in service of their career goals. Fifty-five percent of the survey’s nearly 500 participants were women. Don’t know about you, but I’m ready to kiss this month goodbye. Let’s celebrate Women's History Month by honoring all women and their contributions every single day of the year - regardless of their ethnicity, age, political affiliation, sexual orientation, religious beliefs and disabilities. It's vital to build inclusive workplaces and supply chains that work for everyone. Empowering women and achieving gender equality are absolutely crucial for creating a just and equitable society. Don’t let the DEI naysayers try to convince you that women rights don’t matter - particularly if they’re Black. It's been proven time and time again that empowering women leads to improved health outcomes, increased economic growth, and poverty reduction. Despite progress over the years, women still face significant challenges in almost every industry that hinder their ability to contribute fully to society. Addressing these challenges requires a concerted effort from everyone. Most of all, it requires women to empower women. And, for women to demand that the men (and women) in their lives do the same. If we do better at supporting each other, we will see more women in leadership positions in workplaces, more successful women business owners in supply chains, and more women in political office. It’s time to see some different faces. Together, we can create a more just and equitable world for everyone all year long, not just during the month of March.♥️ #womenhistorymonth #genderequality #diversity #equity #inclusion

For the first time in nearly 20 years, the momentum of women's representation in the C-suite has stalled. Of the roughly 15,000 C-suite leadership roles in S&P 500 companies, only 11.8% now belong to women, down from 12.2% the previous year. This is a sudden change as we’ve only seen the numbers climb each year. This research has pushed back the parity estimate by about seven years. We have our work cut out for us, but on our watch, that’s still far too late. We need the people who are in C-suite roles supporting women in the workpalce and opening doors—and that’s mostly men. We need everyone to be committed to gender equality. We all know the stats and it's not just the right thing to do, it's good for business and the world at large.
