Racing is core to who we are at General Motors. Our customers benefit from the technology and learnings we transfer from race programs to our production vehicles. This past weekend, my family and I were proud to watch the Cadillac and Corvette racing teams go up against the best luxury global brands on the track at the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans.

I share so much of the same sentiment as JP. Some of my fondest childhood memories stem from time spent with my father. He worked for General Motors for nearly 40 years and every now and again he would have the opportunity to bring home a new vehicle. I remember the whole neighborhood would come over to check it out. From a very early age, it sparked an interest in GM and our vehicles. Together, my father and I have over 80 years with the company, so my love of vehicles and GM runs deep. On this Father's Day, I find myself reflecting on the profound impact my father has had on my life and how I miss him, as well as how grateful I am for the unwavering love and support of my husband that makes every day better. Both of these remarkable men inspire me daily. So today, we celebrate all the fathers and father figures who shape our lives – my father, my husband, those I have the privilege of working with at GM and to all the dads out there who make a difference every day.

The all-new Chevrolet Equinox EV is a game changer⚡   I recently had the opportunity to sit down with Tom Costello to talk about our growing EV lineup at General Motors and take Tom on his first drive in the Equinox EV.   We understand range and price are the two biggest barriers to adoption, and the Equinox EV delivers on both. Have you gotten behind the wheel of an EV? I always love seeing people’s initial reactions to our new products and technology. What’s even better? When it’s a member of the General Motors’ team. 🚗 Last month about 100 of our GM team members had a chance to take a spin in the all-new Equinox EV that’s just beginning to ship to customers, here’s what we heard: 1️⃣ Fun to drive: EVs deliver power instantly. The responsiveness of the vehicle was impressive, making driving feel effortless and agile. 2️⃣ Game-changing tech: The modern interior, touchscreen interface and advance driver-assist features are amazing. The first time you take your hands off the wheel to experience Super Cruise is a little scary. After a few minutes of using, it takes a lot of stress out of driving and is easy to see why customers who have it, love it and want it in their next vehicle, too. 3️⃣ Range Anxiety? Not Anymore: A common concern before driving an EV is range anxiety, but the Equinox EV has 315+ miles of range and with advancements in battery technology and expanding charging infrastructure, range anxiety is becoming less and less of an issue.   Thanks again, Gina, for giving us a peek into your experience. Our technical hubs around the world create a powerful blend of software innovation, entrepreneurial spirit, and rich automotive expertise that will drive a better experience for our customers.

My mother’s advice has always guided my life and has shaped who I am today, and I’m honored to share some of her guiding words…   “This too shall pass.”   When I was a young girl and something difficult happened, I would always look to my mother for comfort and guidance. Whenever I was struggling with something, she would often say those words. While at first I found this sentiment annoying, as I matured, I realized she was right. Life moves quickly and we all have a choice to look forward or look backward. She always chose moving forward. It’s that advice, “this too shall pass,” that continues to give me strength and make the best of every day. 🌷To all the mothers and mother figures, wishing you a wonderful weekend filled with love!
